Chief Gear

Chief gear is another item that isn’t available until mid game but once it becomes available you want to activate it and begin upgrading it. Chief gear is very powerful and comes in a few variations. Rookie, Riot, Blast, Frontline, and Tactical. During this post I will go over the benefits of each set along with how to upgrade them and where to get materials. BEFORE YOU UPGRADE ANY PIECES READ THE UPGRADE SECTION BELOW!

Materials: Chief gear requires 3 different materials to build. Alloy, Adhesive, and Chief Gear tools. These use to be really easy to get through Daily missions but since they changed those it takes a little more work. The most important thing to do in order to get these items is participate in Alliance Showdown every time and Infected Horde every time as these are rewards for these events. If your impatient you can always buy materials as well but i suggest waiting to purchase until you get to tactical since you have to buy designs anyways. (that won’t be until late game) for early to mid game the basic sets are fine. Buying tactical designs can get expensive I suggest to wait for the Create a crate packs, custom packs or the unique Chief gear packs that come available every so often. It takes longer to get the materials and designs but can save thousands of dollars if your planning on getting to Legendary Tactical.

Rookie Gear: This is the easiest gear to get. If you have been participating in events by the time you can use Chief gear you should have enough materials for this. It takes 2,950 Alloy, 30 Adhesive, and 8 Chief gear tools per piece. This one also adds 9.32% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry. You also get set bonuses for having 3 pieces or 6 pieces of a set on this set the set bonus is 2.07% for each defense stat on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 3 pieces and another 2.07% for each Attack on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 6 pieces.

Riot gear: This is the next level up of gear still pretty easy to get costing 6,600 Alloy, 70 Adhesive, and 18 Chief gear tools per piece. This one also adds 12.93% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry. You also get set bonuses for having 3 pieces or 6 pieces of a set on this set the set bonus is 2.87% for each defense stat on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 3 pieces and another 2.87% for each Attack on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 6 pieces.

Blast gear: This is the mid level of gear and where a lot of people end up at for a while. The cost is moderate at 13,750 Alloy, 140 Adhesive, and 37 Chief gear tools per piece. This one also adds 17.74% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry. You also get set bonuses for having 3 pieces or 6 pieces of a set on this set the set bonus is 3.94% for each defense stat on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 3 pieces and another 3.94% for each Attack on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 6 pieces.

Frontline gear: This is the top level of gear that you can get without getting tactical designs (which cost money) and where a lot of people who don’t want to spend stop at. The cost is higher at 23,350 Alloy, 235 Adhesive, and 63 Chief gear tools per piece. This one also adds 22.55% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry. You also get set bonuses for having 3 pieces or 6 pieces of a set on this set the set bonus is 5.01% for each defense stat on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 3 pieces and another 5.01% for each Attack on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 6 pieces.

Tactical Gear: This is the best gear in the game so far. The stat increases are big but this set is expensive as you have to spend money in order to make it. There are three levels to this set Blue, Purple, and Legendary Each Set has its own stat increases and it gets more and more expensive. I will break down each set like i did above.

Blue Tactical: This is the base layer of Tactical gear and if your going to spend money you should skip blast and frontline gear and come straight here. The cost is moderate at 10,700 Alloy, 110 Adhesive, and 30 Chief gear tools per piece but also requires 225 Design pieces per piece (which you must buy from packs). This one also adds 28.02% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry. You also get set bonuses for having 3 pieces or 6 pieces of a set on this set the set bonus is 6.23% for each defense stat on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 3 pieces and another 6.23% for each Attack on Riders, Hunters, and Infantry for when you have 6 pieces.

Purple Tactical: This set is the middle tactical set and though difficult to get its not impossible and the money cost isn’t that bad to get it. The cost is higher at 69,600 Alloy, 700 Adhesive, and 190 Chief gear tools per piece but also requires 405 Design pieces per piece (which you must buy from packs). This one also adds 50.26% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry.

Legendary Tactical: This is the top level of gear that you can get period (as of right now). However to get this set to this level is incredibly costly. If you want to be one of the best players this set is a must but be prepared to pay for it. The cost is insane at 401,200 Alloy, 4010 Adhesive, and 1070 Chief gear tools per piece but also requires 675 Design pieces per piece (which you must buy from packs). This one also adds 85.85% attack and defense to your stats per pieces 2 for rider 2 for hunter and 2 for Infantry.

Upgrading: This is super important and should always be remembered. On Chief gear you can dismantle any piece you previously created and you get back exactly what it cost to make the item. This means that if upgrading from Rookie to Riot you only need enough materials in your backpack to be what riot cost minus what you paid for rookie. you never want to keep an old piece always dismantle and upgrade. However, when upgrading chief gear first thing you do is take the medals off of the chief gear your upgrading (except tactical you can just enhance without removing medals. ). Then dismantle the piece. Then upgrade to your new piece.
